جلد پنجم و آخر مجموعه ” ترانه یخ و آتش ” با نام A Dance with Dragons در سال ۲۰۱۱ منتشر شد. بیشتر اتفاقات این جلد در شرق است و کل سرزمین راترس و رسوم برده‌داری گرفته است. دنریس به کمک اژدهای خود صلح را به شهرهای مختلف می‌آورد. برای سر تیریون لنیستر جایزه تعیین کردند و او به سمت شرق گریخته است. از طرفی جان اسنو در دیوار در حال مبارزه با آدرها است.
